My Eyelash Routin

No extentions, no lashes, no BS – just Tarte’s Maneater Mascara and Rodan and Fields Lash Boost. My miracle eyelash potion.

For years, I’ve wanted longer, more luchious eyelashes. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on all sorts of mascaras. Did you know there is a “butterfly” lash mascara. WTF is a butterfly lash. I didn’t know but I wanted them. I didn’t get them of course, whatever they were. I tried telescopic mascara, leopard mascara, curling, lengthening, oh there was even a mascara with a  mid evil torture device at the end. It was a spikey ball. And it was EXPENSIVE! And it freaking hurt when you stabbed yourself in the eye. Or so I’ve hear (and felt). Ouchies.
There are, what seems like millions of mascaras. Some work really well and some not so much. I’m looking at you Better than Sex mascara. Side note: WHY THE EFF would you call a mascara that?!? WHY?
And don’t even get me started on the waterproof ones which are waterproof and makeup remover proof. Sigh. I’ve lost many a lash to waterproof mascara. So sad. RIP little lashes.
Finally, I tried Tarte’s Maneater mascara. (insert chorus of angels singing)
Tarte’s Maneater is my favorite mascara of all time. This mascara curls your lashes, lengthens, lasts all day, doesn’t smudge (unless you sweat or if you get rained on A LOT), and is build able without being clumpy. It’s a good one. I use it every day. There is no other mascara in my makeup bag at the moment and there hasn’t been ever since I started using Maneater.
Over a year ago a friend of mine introduced me to a company called Rodan & Fields. Think of them as a high end Mary Kay or Avon. You need to know someone to buy from them. Anyway, she had a R & F party at another friends house. They had testers and face scrubs, syrums, all sorts of stuff. Then she showed us the mac daddy the eyelash syrum, the before and after pics and her own beautifully luscious lashes. So pretty and so long they smack me in the face. Not really but ALMOST.
It took me a while to buy. The lash boost is $150! BUT it’s worth it. The bottle lasts me about 6 months. I’ve purchased 2 in a year. I’m really happy with my lashes.
I tell you this story not to sell you. I don’t work for Tarte and I don’t work for Rodan & Fields (I’m not even a consultant for them). I write this to educate. That’s all.
If you’d like to purchase either item, I’ve linked the affiliate links before if you want to order them on amazon. If not, that’s cool too.
Hope you’ve enjoyed this post. Until next time.
