Please note, this blog post contains spoilers and lots of them. It also contains my random thoughts from this book. If you haven’t read this book yet and plan to, I would recommend coming back when you have and enjoying the ride with me again. If you’re staying, welcome, and I hope you enjoy my review of Rock Chick Rescue by Kristen Ashley.

I just finished reading Rock Chick Rescue (book 2 of the Rock Chick series) and I’m still all “awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww” mode. I’m all warm and gooey inside. I think that feeling will be around for a while. BUT like awwwwwww. I am such a sucker for tough guy and shy girl stories. Fuck that. I’m a sucker for a happy ending. And if you’ve been around for a while, you know I only enjoy books with happy endings. NOT THOSE happy endings. The happy endings that everyone lives happily ever after.

Image result for rock chick rescueThe Rock Chick Rescue book follows Jet and Eddie. You might remember them from the first Rock Chick book. Eddie is Lee’s best friend who was crushing on Indy. And Jet works at Indy’s book shop. We met them briefly in the previous book, but we don’t know much about them.

We quickly fiend out, Jet’s in trouble. The serious kind. And Eddie, well Eddie wants to help. Not wants to, is going to make it his mission to help whether Jet likes it or not. And she doesn’t. In fact, she DOESN’T LIKE IT very much. Hehe see what I did there? Anyone who has read this series will or should remember that line (several times in this book).

This book is over 300 pages of action packed scenes, some graphic language and some burn the pages off my electronic book smoking hotness. This book covers dramatic situation, moments you want to slap Jet, moments where I wants to shake Eddie and moments I melted into a freaking puddle from the sheer cuteness and sweetness from these two AND HOTNESS>

Sometime I really love about the first two books of the Rock Chick series is that I can see myself in these ladies (our heroines). The insecurity, the shyness, the thinking of ourselves as average nobodies and unpretty. Not realizing our worth. It’s sad. Is it society? Is it our upbringing? Dunno. I just know that it’s like looking in the mirror at a lot of points in these books. These books are very relatable and I really love that.
